I love this event. I don’t have to drive far, Cobra Dogs is there, and Pioneer Square bums are actually the best.
Hawaii – 2011
I’m headed back to Kauai in a few days to visit my sister and nieces. I have some pictures from my last trip that I really liked. I won’t show those ones to you, so look at these instead.
Greenhorn Games 2012 – Snoqualmie, Wa
Being surrounded by a few dozen kids under thirteen with access to free bananas, pickles, tasty beverages and hot dogs for three hours on a Saturday would usually result in a phone call to schedule a vasectomy by Monday morning. Not so at the Greenhorn Games. Just about the time of the year when the weather is getting nicer and I SHOULD get my ass hiking and ride real snow for a few more months but don’t feel like it anymore, I get my yearly stoke refill at the Greenhorn Games. Seriously, it’s the only contest I don’t sneak booze to if that tells you anything. Krush and the Snowboy Production fellas put on such a good show. Cheers to them and Snowboarder Magazine for running some stuff on it.
Tube City – Snoqualmie, Wa
This event evolved from the Holy Oly at Hyak (on a temporary hiatus) and went down on a really nice hand built/carved park at Snoqualmie. It was a super rare contest day in February with fucking sun. Yobeat was nice enough to run some photos and a few words I wrote about the event. 
A-Rob Memorial Banked Slalom – Alpental, Wa
A-Rob is a big deal up here in the northwest, even to those who didn’t have the chance to meet him. I was really luck to be able to cover this banked slalom for him in January for Yobeat, and it was rad.
Downtown Throwdown – 2011
I really love these Snowboy Productions events. This was the final event for the pre-season for me, as Snowboy headed south after that to California for a few more stops on their tour.
